The firm was formed by Hugh Marshall out of the Building Consultancy division of Meadowcroft Chartered Surveyors, which he headed for 22 years prior to forming MLPA Surveyors. The Practice has had a presence in Kensington since 1983 and maintains close ties in the Property management field with local firms. We now carry out a considerable amount of Management Building Surveying for managing agents and work in conjunction with solicitors in particular dealing with Licences to Alter.
Our sphere of operation is mainly within the M25 although our clients are both London and nationally based and we undertake surveying and project management throughout England with particular interest and connections in the West Country.

Services
Whilst Marshall Land & Property Associates LLP, MLPA Surveyors, as the firm is known in short, appears to be a "new kid on the block", we have 25 years of experience operating from our offices here in Kensington High Street. MLPA was formed in early 2005 by Hugh Marshall and Mark Lodge Patch to continue the Surveying and Construction division of Meadowcroft which Hugh Marshall had run as a partner since 1983.
This section is broken down into the three main headings of Surveying Services, Project Management and Valuation. Marshall Land & Property Associates is about Property and, as Chartered Surveyors; we offer a wider base of services than pure Building Surveyors although Building Surveying is our main field of activity.
Building surveying encompasses a wide range services giving valuable advice to existing owners and occupiers as well as those considering new property. We cover a range of properties including residential, office and industrial, public houses and we have an interest in historic buildings. The services set out below are the main areas of our work.
Architecture and building surveying share some common ground, a building surveyor can often provide architectural services and vice versa. Surveyors more frequently get involved with administering the building process and often act as "client's representative" or "contract administrator". The difference between architects and surveyors lies in the different training behind each profession.
