I qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1983 and have spent my career in private practice, and formed Main Allen in 1993 - quite a long time ago, now! I have always been, and remain, firmly committed to providing the best advice I can to my varied and interesting client base. The ability to negotiate is at the heart of everything, but a strong and knowledgeable understanding of the matters in issue is essential - and I think I combine these, successfully.One of my priorities has always been to work throughout the UK rather than being a "parochial" surveyor, limited to one particular geographic region.

Dermot Main established Main Allen in 1993 and the company quickly became known for advising corporate clients, mainly on commercial property matters, across the UK. We have never accepted "tertiary" instructions unless as part of a package from larger corporate clients. Acquisitions, disposals, leaseholds, freeholds, negotiating on assignments, sub-lettings etc.
