Services
Private Rights of way are an area where a surveyor's knowledge of the relevant legal background will enable best quality assistance. We acted for owners of properties in the home counties. A driveway passed through garden A to reach property B to the rear. Owner A re-routed the driveway with no authority and made it very difficult to use by introducing sharp corners and obstructions.
We have provided all manner of Building Surveys for thousands of properties over the twenty years since the Practice was founded. They range from small flats or houses, where even new houses can have many faults, to large period homes in various areas of the country, these have included a castle in the south east which is the largest brick building in Sussex dating from the time of Henry VIII.
An Expert Witness provides information and knowledge to assist a court in a matter which is outside the usual knowledge of the court. Building Surveying and Valuation work are areas where the services of an Expert Witness are often required. We have the experience and knowledge to provide clear succinct and helpful advice in written reports and when giving live evidence in court to ensure the court or tribunal has the best information we can provide.
Go to the Dispute resolution tab to learn more about this aspect of our services. The Practice works to develop specialist services to settle disagreements that can occur in any building project or property matter. Charles Stimpson can be involved to decide a matter for example as an Expert Adjudicator, or to assist the parties in achieving an agreed settlement, as a Mediator. The involvement of an independent 'Neutral' professional can usually assist in de-personalising a dispute as soon as possible.
