Advice on terms and conditions for the appointment of other consultants, such as designers, services, structural engineers and the like. Preparation of a master programme for the proposed works, both before and on site, identifying the various design stages, key client decision periods, procurement route, statutory applications, cost checks, etc.
Advice on tendering procedures and contractual arrangements for appointing contractors and specialists. Assistance in documentation preparation and placing orders for any long lead-in items, including novation agreements. Analysis of tenders returned and preparation of reports recommending contractors for appointment, budget and programme for client approvals.
Co-ordinate design work, planning and other preparation for construction where relevant to health and safety. Identify and collect the pre-construction information and advise the client if surveys need to be commissioned to fill significant gaps.
