Turner Associates Survey & Design Limited is a friendly and energetic team established since 1994 in the heart of Dorset. We work on creative designs and practical solutions whilst undertaking a variety of work in both the private and public sector. Our aim is to provide an efficient and practical service meeting both the clients' needs and planning authority's aspirations for each project site.
Our architectural department has grown considerably since 1995. We have a mixture of private and commercial clients with projects varying from small domestic extensions to commercial and residential developments. We are currently involved with sympathetic restorations, extensions of listed buildings and cutting-edge modern design for commercial and domestic clients.
The role of a Contract Administrator involves managing the contract between the employer and building contractor. This is a role that was historically performed by the architect. While the role of Contract Administrator can be undertaken by several possible professionals, with the architect traditionally filling the role, the scope of who can be the Contract Administrator has widened to include building surveyors, quantity surveyors, management surveyors and engineers.We are typically involved in this role where building works are being carried out under JCT Building Contract.
Our in-house Party Wall experts are fully conversant with the Party Wall etc Act 1996. They are aware of its effect on both domestic and commercial property owners, in relation to proposed works either near (or on) the boundary of their property, or their neighbours'. The Party Wall etc Act 1996 is designed to protect the interests of adjoining owners and property owners.

Even though the party wall surveyancing was good, sadly we were recommended a cowboy builder to carry out the work which resulted in a very bad experience which almost condemned our extension. When seeking help to assess the extent of the major issues from the recommended builders work we were sent a quote!

Having to move house during the pandemic i had a recommendation from a friend and they were amazing as i was 300+ miles away they did the survey very quickly and reported back in a very short time their survey found some areas of concern and i was able to negotiate a more favourable price with the seller. I found them to be very professional courteous and informative. I would highly recommend them and have already done so to friends etc.

Turner Associates helped my wife and I, when we had serious issues with an incompetent builder, who had no knowledge of building regulations, and showed complete disregard for good working practice. From the start of this process, they contacted the cowboy builder on our behalf, to shield us from any threats and intimidation. Turner Associates guided us through all legal implications, Building Control Regulations, and then the process of getting the work corrected by a reputable building contractor.
They liaised between Building Control, the Contractor and ourselves, to ensure all remedial work was carried out to Building Regulation specification, and too a high standard of workmanship. This has been a very stressful time, both emotionally and financially. Turner Associates guided us, and have provided an excellent and highly professional service.

Shocking company. Details and information given was incorrect- causing us huge financial issues and major up evil. How can a certified company get things so wrong and not take responsibility? Avoid at all costs. They simply cannot provide the service they say, and don't have a clue in terms of what's done properly or not! Useless
