Services
Our Building Surveys are the most detailed type of RICS report on the condition of a property and are designed to provide the purchaser with an in-depth analysis of their new home. We carry out Residential Building Surveys in all parts of Surrey, Middlesex, Hertfordshire, Reading and London. Chawton Hill are regulated by RICS.
Our years of ecclesiastical experience has helped us to successfully deliver multiple projects such as church halls, extensions and community buildings. Whether working within conservation or greenbelt areas, we have a refined strategy that works within the ecclesiastical sector. A recent example of this is the new church building for Oakhall in the heart of the Caterham community.
Our health experience stems from being at the forefront of specialist medical centre projects, including the new system of Ambulance Make Ready Centres and Emergency 999 call centres. This has the great benefit of helping to free up front-line staff, who currently clean and re-stock ambulances, to spend more time treating patients.
We have been helping education facilities in & around Surrey since the very start of Chawton Hill, over twenty years ago. Our experience extends to Independent Schools, Foundation Schools and Academies. We are active participants at the Independent School's Bursars Association annual conference and work closely with a number of educational establishments - some of whom can be seen below.

Chawton Hill were great! They provided a prompt and well communicated service. From start to finish we have had an amazing experience. Our surveyor was very thorough on the day and was willing for us to contact him if we needed to ask him any further questions afterwards. I would definitely recommend using them.

Chawton Hill provided great value for money and were able to organize a very comprehensive structural survey. Thank you to Steve Holmes for providing a thorough report on the house, which was invaluable in our purchase, and taking as much time as we needed to do the walk through. Our experience was fantastic. The team were swift to respond and very friendly and professional. Our surveyor allowed us to attend the survey (I would highly recommend this) and helped with lots of comments and suggestions which do not come up in the more official survey document. A great company to work with.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Their advice cost us dearly. We should have taken note of other people's experiences of this dreadful company and waited a few more weeks for our previous surveyor firm to become available (unfortunately they were booked up, unlike this firm). Appalling 'RICS' Building Survey carried out, missed key issues, provided shoddy, reckless repair advice (confirmed by 2 reputable building firms) and their omnipotent attitude was a disgrace.
Without doubt, the worst surveyors we have ever encountered. They make a shambles of RICS guidelines in our opinion. You've been warned. Proceed with caution. No doubt they'll respond below with a very pleasant reply to make themselves feel better. Because in their eyes, they never make mistakes, or accept responsibility. Weak, unprofessional and best to be avoided from our experience,
