I didn't have good experiences with Garness Jones. The company managed the building where I owned the lease on a flat. Prices kept going up up and up, and getting work done to a good standard was very rare. Lots of work/repairs was a bodge. I was glad when i sold the property. DO NOT EVER BUY A LEASEHOLD PROPERTY. You will only regret it.

Any issues I had I took up directly with Tatiana and she was always more than happy to help. It was my partner and I's first time renting a property and she was incredibly helpful through the whole process! Very happy with where we stayed and the best thing was that if I ever had an issue, Garness Jones would sort it immediately and I'd have contractors with me either later that day or the following morning. Very friendly people and very professional!

Garness Jones, a sorry excuse for a management company that couldn't manage to empty a boot of water if you told them that the instructions were on the bottom. The fact just mentioning the name of this company to anyone who has had previous dealing with them elicits a wry laugh, pained expression and disappointed shake of the head speaks volumes of their customer satisfaction rating. Highlights include still waiting for paperwork promised in February, changing the name of a meeting six months after the fact when minutes for this meeting never materialised and my personal favourite "that wasn't my fault, as your property manager, to manage your property, it was someone else in the office".
Shout out to you, Sarah, for that corker! Though I have to admit, it was a toss up between that and the very Friends-esque "I was on a break". A six month break, was it? To add insult to injury, Garness Jones are now apparently in possession to some of the information requested 6 months ago, yet refuse to share this information with the leaseholders ahead of what I must say is a rather rushed meeting to discuss said information.
I believe we were told 4 weeks notice at the last "not AGM". We were also told it would be arranged in the evening, as people work. Guess that's not the case. They are unable to even organise sending an invoice for money due without being reminded and passing the buck. The whole thing smacks of incompetence. Though I must give credit where credit is due.
The game "which excuse is it this time?" is a marvellous game, providing hours of fun the whole family can enjoy. The odds of finally hearing the elusive "sorry, the dog ate it" are rising by the day. The letter, at the start of the lockdown, informing us that you would not be contacting us by post, to avoid the transmission to "[us, you], the post men, the sorting operatives and the post men again.", for the duration of Coronavirus, which was swiftly followed by a letter, on a completely unrelated issue, dated a few days later, was a jovial break up to the monotony of lockdown life. "In these challenging times", "I'm sure you understand" it was much needed.
One star, just for the entertainment you guys have provided. Comedy gold! Shame the service isn't anywhere near as good! EDIT TO ADD: It has been brought to my attention that it has been politely requested that I remove my review (not to myself, despite having provided my contact details, but to others to pass on the message), as I "should have waited more than 5 hours for a response to make a complaint".
This appears to ignore the fact that these issues have been ongoing since February 2020 and the majority of the questions asked have been waiting for an answer since then. For this reason, I feel that I must politely decline this request. Take from that what you will.

I recently went to view a property, the agent who showed me the house told me to text her for an application. I text her but she never text me back. I then went to email a separate agent, again I got no response. The entire viewing was terrible, the agent had a very off mood with me the entire time, was late and knew nothing about the propery or the area. I'm trying to be a customer to these people, complete joke of a company.

If you have a choice, I strongly suggest to avoid having to deal with these people, down to their lettings manager, they simply do not care about their tenants. Everyone will act very nice initially so be aware. I have had an awful experience with them, i'm trying to do my part to advise others against them. All they want is your money.

Highly recommended! Matt, Amy and the team were so helpful throughout and were so patient with any questions or queries I had. Even during this strange time, they still managed to move me into my new property as quick as they could and kept me updated if there were any changes. Overall really satisfied with my experience and can't thank them enough.
