Services
At EDI we combine our expertise and training with the latest technology to provide surveying services across a wide range of requirements. Using the latest equipment we produce true to scale plans of natural and man-made features with position and height information. Why choose EDI for your land survey?
We believe that accurate equipment and use of the latest technologies are essential to our ability to provide the reliable survey information our customers need. Our survey equipment is regularly calibrated and serviced to ensure maximum accuracy and optimum performance, and we invest around 50,000 a year in new equipment.
If you cannot find the answer to your question below, please contact us and we will try to help as quickly as possible. Pricing of surveys is carried out by a director who will assess how long it will take to survey the site to the specification provided using a combination of experience, size of the survey area and by viewing the site either directly or on aerial/other photographs.
Using sophisticated survey grade GNSS equipment and utilising a network of fixed, active GNSS stations owned by the Ordnance Survey, we obtain the position of a fixed point with an accuracy of up to 10mm, an ideal tool for the provision of survey control to national grid and to Ordnance height datum.
Laser scanning allows us to survey complex structures with a maximum level of detail accurately and fast using the Trimble TX5 scanner and Realworks software. The TX5 uses a time-of-flight laser to collect a 3D position for anything it comes into contact with creating a "point cloud" for all features around the instrument position.
