We moved into our current premises on the Irongray Road (off the A76) in 2006 but have been auctioneering in Dumfries & Galloway and the surrounding area since our incorporation in the late 19th century. Before our move to Irongray Road, our office was on the Whitesands and auctions were held in Annan and in the Easterbrook Hall at The Crichton Royal.
The Fife & Perthshire arm of Thomson Roddick consists of two valuers Jocelyne La Manna and Gavin Durward Tavendale who conduct valuations and collections in the Fife and Perthshire area. Valuations including free verbal auction valuation advice can be conducted in the comfort of your home or over email.
It has never been easier to bid with us at auction across our three auction premises. The only catch is that you will pay an additional 3%+VAT on the hammer price for doing so, compered to standing in the room bidding. This fee goes to the hosts of our bidding platform and is not kept by Thomson Roddick.
We are pleased to provide free pre-sale advice. You can either attend one of our regular valuation days, email us with images or arrange an appointment in the comfort of your own home. The collection and clearance of unsaleable items can be carried out on your behalf and the costs of this deducted from the final payment.
The auctioneer and the valuation team will be in attendance to provide you with free auction estimate advice for your antiques and collectables. 16 specialist departments including Jewellery, Silver, Coins, Medals & Militaria, Toys & Model Railway, Whisky, Oriental, Music, Books and a whole lot more.
