A qualified Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer. Alastair, a Director of the firm, is a Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer with over 30 years' experience in the Hertfordshire area.
Surveys and valuations can be needed for a variety of purposes, including house purchase, lending, acquisitions and disposals, probate valuations, matrimonial settlement valuations, taxation, relocation, lease enfranchisement and planning and development. At Rumball Sedgwick we understand that property ownership is usually the biggest investment people make.
Do you need to know how much your property is worth? A property valuation does just this: it gives you the current market value of a property, from an RICS registered valuer. Your property is likely to be your largest asset and the most significant purchase you will ever make. Whatever the reason for requesting a property valuation, you will want to know that it is accurate and reflects the current market price. At Rumball Sedgwick we understand that this is essential, and we have the experience and current market knowledge to give you a reliable valuation.
The RICS HomeBuyers Report was devised by the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) as a cost-effective method of minimising risks, by providing the buyer with enough information to help them decide whether or not to proceed with their purchase. The RICS HomeBuyers Report covers the inside and outside of the building, the services (such as utilities) and the site.

I moved into Oakbank flats on June 20th and had two phone calls with their rep Donna following which I asked her about several matters via email on July 1st and then July 27th. Neither was answered even though my landlady gave them permission to speak to me. What made it even worse was that I was bringing to their attention that their was no fire distinguisher on our floor and that the railings on our second floor were loose.
With an older lady living on our level that could have been disastrous. When you move into a new 'home' you just want to feel safe and happy there. A moderate or even wrong reply would have been better than to have been met with complete silence. A truly awful service where they basically were refuting all responsibility!
