Timothy is a Partner of Allcott Associates LLP and the driver behind its growth from a small firm of building surveyors in the Midlands to a countrywide residential, commercial and valuations practice to be reckoned with. Timothy started his career as a building surveyor at Watts PLC, an international firm of property consultants, before gaining chartered status with the RICS, and later, membership with CIOB and CABE.
RICS surveys are essentially property health checks. They are detailed inspections that check a property's condition and structure. If you are buying a home, you can choose between 3 levels of survey: a Full Building Survey (also known as a Level 3, or 'Full Structural' survey) a HomeBuyer Survey (Level 2) or a Condition Survey (Level 1).

Thoroughly impressive service and excellent value. Upon instruction the survey was carried out within 7 days. I opted for a Level 3 Building Survey (Full Structural) and was extremely happy with the detail provided as it enabled me to successfully renegotiate the house price. I'd recommend to my friends and family if they were looking for a surveyor. As a first time buyer I shared the survey with my Uncle (who's more experienced in property) and he was impressed which was good enough for me. Thank you to the team!

I am autistic & with that comes extreme anxiety. so when it came to getting a surveyor (my first time ever ) I needed reassurance, explanations as to what's what and that I had a list of things I wanted the surveyor to check out / look for various things that I know some were not in his job description as a surveyor. My list was quite big, (about 3 sides A4 ) and the surveyor came back with his report and he'd practically covered everything on my list!
His report was very detailed and covered absolutely everything. I could tell he didn't just dash in, then dash out. There was so much detail. The lady that took my call was so nice and professional and didn't bat an eyelid when I mentioned my long list! I wasn't made to feel embarrassed or stupid. From start to finish the whole experience was outstanding!
The price was almost 100 Cheaper than others and it came up as being in the top 3 best surveyors in Nottingham. I would highly recommend this company and I thank them wholeheartedly for a great service :)

A thorough detailed professional survey was completed to an extremely high standard. A drone was used which meant aerial views of the property were considered. I would highly recommend Alcott Associates LLP services provided & support from administrive staff. The survey was also completed in a timely manner during a busy period. Many thanks & I wouldn't hesitate to recommend highly or to use again.

Allcott have recently carried out a Building Survey for my property which is my first home. I was very nervous about the whole process and Allcott put my mind at ease. Poor to say the least. If you wish to waste your money and learn nothing more than can be observed by a laymen, these are the people for you. They will not inspect your roof but they will tell you if your floors are squeaky. And if there is a suitcase in the way, then all you will get is a statement saying "that a further survey is required". The survey I have received from this company is frankly not worth the (virtual) paper it is written on.
It's a real shame that the already difficult process of buying a house is made even more so by cowboys like these. The government really aught to clamp down on this kind of nonsense. Do yourself a favour and take your business somewhere else. Update: Thanks for your response to my review. However the roof could have easily been accessed with a ladder. The loft was not so filled with items to prevent access and finally I was never offered another free survey. So your response simply isn't accurate.

I totally agree with Christopher Gibson's comment below. Do not use them. I had two correct their so called project, which was more like a sketch, 3 times and at the end I was asked to draw it myself! The most important was that the whole report and the beam calculation was not needed! Utterly useless! The wall was not even load-bearing wall. It cost me 250 for the beam calculation, 270 for the application to the council, 90 for the beam, 40 for acrow props. Don't get fooled by 30+ years of experience.
